Got in this late 70’s Helpinstill Roadmaster piano.Was made for touring. It is basically a spinet that is in its own road case.The keyboard folds flatReady for a tour.It has pick ups and a volume/eq box to can go to an amp or PA system. Very cool idea.

Tuned a little known German piano and noticed this unique bridge designNever heard of this brand of piano out of Berlin. Thats the thickest bridge I have ever seen.Schwechten is very well built. Plays and sound really amazing considering it is close to 100 years old. It has been in the family since new.

I noticed this screw dangling down behind the strings. I believe it is a perimeter plate bolt. I can not speak very highly of the quality of non-Japonise Asian made pianos. Maybe it was made on a Friday afternoon.

From time to time I come across pianos that have this problem.The bass hammers are coming undone from their moldings.As “The Piano Book” points out – 1970’s era Aoelian pianos are among the worst quality (or words to that effect). This one surely fits that bill. I did the best I could.
