Although there are a number of different climate control systems for pianos, I highly recommend the Piano Life Saver system from Damp-Chaser. They have been around for well over 50 years and they know what the are doing. I am speaking from first hand experience as I have installed one in every piano I have ever owned.
Truthfully – you might not. The ones that would benefit most are pianos on an outside wall, next to a drafty window, or close to a heat source (radiator, base board heat, fireplace, etc.).
The idea behind a humidity control system is to keep the wood of your piano some where between 40-50% humidity.
You’d be surprised how well they work, and they really are not all that expensive.
