I was lucky enough to be asked to get this beautiful Steinway B back in shape for a performance.

Not as bad as it looks

Some days are better then others . . .

Today I tuned a brand new $80K+ Steinway O and then tuned a 9′ falcone grand.  The day before tired old spinets!

Where to begin?

  I have to remind myself to just concentrate on one piano at a time.  Its a good thing I like my job.

Baldwin’s terrible quality control

As I was tuning this late 70’s/early 80’s Baldwin upright I noticed it had no serial number. How is it possible that no one in the factory noticed?  They made some pretty horrible pianos toward the end.  

Tuning a brand new Steinway model B

I was lucky enough to tune for the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton, Ma where they have a brand new 7′ Steinway

A nice old Heintzman with interesting plate design

These old Heintzman pianos have holes drilled into the lip of the plate instead of traditional agraffes. This piano is very similar to a Steinway.  I believe Heintzman worked for Steinway.

Another old upright saved!

With so many old uprights out there not worth restoring, it is nice to find a customer who has one worth getting back in shape. This 1916 Ivers & Pond upright turned out very nice. Plays and sound beautiful
